Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital was looking for a holiday gift for its infant pediatric patients. The goal was to provide a unique, safe item that would be useful to the children and their parents. The hospital’s marketing team already had a lovie in mind (a baby plush item that featured a stuffed animal with a small blanket attached).
Solutions
Instead of producing a branded stock lovie, Brand IQ suggested a custom one. The customization would be in the form of the hospital’s mascot, Topper the Giraffe. Our team felt this option was best, because it would reinforce and remind the recipients of the story of Topper, which is a story about hope and the reassurance that Memorial Hermann is a place of solutions and healing for so many.
Results
After several iterations, a Topper lovie was born – complete with PMS color to match the hospital’s colors and a branded satin tag for a retail look. These were given to all the infants that were at Children’s Memorial Hermann during the 2018 holiday season.
